Fermented foods have a long tradition, but their incredible health benefits have been almost forgotten nowadays. Introducing a glass of homemade water kefir and half a cup of fermented vegetables with your meals on a daily basis can change your life. Fermenting at home sounds complicated but is very easy and enjoyable - and super cheap! When you buy for example sauerkraut in the supermarket, you don't only overpay, but also you don't even get the full value of the ingredients, as it is usually pasteurized. That means that the precious enzymes are killed off - enzymes are needed for every chemical reaction in our body. If you suffer from a candida infection (which is  often the underlying cause of many health problems), fermented vegetables are your savior. Making your own ferments is a creative act of love and very personal: how do you like your kraut? You'll be surprised what kinds of foods you can ferment and what kinds of flavors you can combine to your favorite creation. In this process you'll also learn to let go of complete control. Fermented food is the opposite of perfectly uniform, predictable food :-)

  • preserves food

  • breaks down nutrients into more easily digestible forms

  • creates new nutrients like folic acid, riboflavin, niacin, thiamin, biotic

  • some ferments are potent cancer fighting foods*

  • the bacteria Lactobacilli, that you find especially in fermented dairy products, create omega-3 fatty acids which are essential for cell membrane and immune system function

  • removes toxins from foods like phytic acids which you find in grains
